Ministry
Pray First Mission Ministries began in 2010 when Apostle Joan and Pastor Ed Henderson followed God’s vision and gathered a small group of believers in their living room in Hampton, VA. What started as a simple step of faith has grown into a thriving church family dedicated to prayer, service, and transformation.
After ten years of faithful leadership, the Hendersons passed the mantle to Pastors Lathaniel and Mar’keta Kirts, who continue to build on that foundation with fresh vision and passion for reaching our city and beyond.
At Pray First, we are a people transformed by Christ Jesus. We work together to serve our church and community while advancing the Kingdom of God. Through our five-fold ministry, we equip believers to live out and share the gospel of Jesus Christ in a powerful and practical way.

We can’t wait to meet you at Pray First Mission Ministries! Whether you’re new to church or new to the area, we want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive. Here’s what you can expect when you join us for worship.
🕙 Service Times
1st–3rd Sundays
Traditional Worship Service – Begins at 10:00 AM
Come early for Discipleship Classes at 9:00–9:45 AM, followed by Intercessory Prayer as we prepare our hearts for worship.
4th Sundays – P.O.M. Sunday (Power of Me)
A unique Sunday dedicated to spiritual growth and connection.
Men and women meet separately for intentional conversations that strengthen faith, identity, and community.
5th Sundays – Family & Friends Day
Our Youth Department leads a special morning of food, fellowship, and fun — a time for all generations to come together. (No traditional service on this Sunday.)
What to Expect
Come As You Are! There’s no dress code — we just want you to come ready to experience God’s presence.
Service Length: Our worship gatherings typically last about 90 minutes.
Children’s Ministry: We have an active and safe children’s ministry led by trained teachers (all background-checked). Our friendly ushers will guide you to the Children’s Church area when you arrive.

OUR MISSION
Prepare the saints for the Lord's Service (Ephesians 4:11-12).
Give an answer to everyone for the hope in us (1 Peter 3:15).
Affirmation 2026
I boldly and faithfully declare that 2026 is the Year of Open Doors.
This year I expect heavenly favor because I’m at the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.
2 Chronicles 20:26 says that I will stand in a Valley of Blessings and I will see overflowing favor coming from every direction.
According to Revelation 2:26, my obedience guarantees opportunities and open doors.
Daniel 2:6 tells us that God will give us “gifts and honors” when we listen to the Holy Spirit.
Because I have Christ on my side, God is restoring the season I’ve sown in tears, into triumph. My weeping has turned into reaping.
This Year of Open Doors will rest upon me, my household, my church family and my spiritual leadership in the name of Jesus.
